Endless opportunities abound in HAMX’s beautifully sculpted world. He takes on each opportunity and offers the result in his unique skill set. His love for dance in his work reveals his deep understanding of the genre. Production matters a great deal, and the sheer crispness reflects the extensive touring he’s done in the United States and the world at large. It has such a gigantic approach to the sound, that it almost verges on an outright landscape. Various elements pepper it, from references to his childhood of growing up on dance, hip-hop, and R&B. These are both directly and indirectly referenced. One can hear the candid moments from his clever usage of samples. The beats he brings on full blast also incorporate small nods to the worlds of hip-hop and R&B.
From his early start as one-half of The Suicide Doors, he has brought a lot into the heady brew that is his inclusive take on House Music. The places he’s performed are a testament to this desire to bring in those typically left out. His performance at the Pride Festival in Los Angeles and the Paralympic World Games are examples of that. Beyond that, he brings the worlds of Fashion and International Sports Production. In a sense, his music speaks to generations of individuals, from those old enough to remember the very beginning of house music to those who have just discovered it.
On his debut EP You Are Love, HAMX brings his life philosophy into his sound.
