EXCLUSIVE: Shelter in Solitude, the second feature written and produced by Siobhan Fallon Hogan, has landed deals with AMC and Regal Cinemas to set a nationwide theatrical release from Oct 6.

The film, directed by Vibeke Muasya, will also be released in Harkins and Marcus Theatres. The film stars Robert Patrick (Terminator 2, 1923), Peter Macon (Fox series The Orville), Peter Hogan (Rushed), Dan Castellaneta, and Fallon Hogan (SNL, Men in Black, Seinfeld, Forrest Gump).

The project comes two years after Rushed, Fallon Hogan’s first feature as writer-producer. Vertical Entertainment released that film domestically in 2021, while Octane Entertainment took the film internationally. Shelter in Solitude tells the story of a death row prisoner (Peter Macon) with ten days left to live and his relationship with a washed-up country singer. Fallon Hogan’s son Peter Hogan, Jr., is a producer and music supervisor on the pic, while her daughter Sinead, acts and serves as production designer.

The Coven will handle worldwide sales and distribution rights under its non-genre banner, Foxglove Entertainment. President Kendall Anlian will attend TIFF to start sales on the film. Fallon Hogan can next be seen in the 2023 Sundance pic Eileen, alongside Anne Hathaway and Thomasin McKenzie, which is set for a December release.

Production companies on the pic are Emerald Caz Productions and Legendary Goat Productions. Shelter in Solitude is Emerald Caz Production’s second film and the first released by EMFILM, the distribution company set up by Fallon Hogan alongside her son Peter Hogan, Jr. and husband Peter Hogan.
